Here at Cape Hatteras Surf School it is our mission to ensure all our students get the best hands on learning experience we can provide. CHSS owners and operators Hannah Cornish and Billy Crews have 28 years of surfing experience and love nothing more than introducing people to the sport and sharing the love of the ocean!

     At the age of 13, Billy Crews learned the trade of surf instructing from retired professional surfers Reece and Casey Patterson. Twenty years and thousands of surf lessons later, he is still sharing his love of surfing in a safe and fun environment.

    Between the two of us, we have surfed all over the world including Central America, The Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the US. We know how to be safe and smart in the ocean. We make all surfers of all levels feel comfortable and guarantee a great time and lifelong memories!
